Poet

David Ira Rottenberg is a graduate of Columbia University. He has published two novels and co-authored three business books. He has written for publications such as Boston Magazine and the Boston Globe. His poems have appeared in poetry magazines throughout the United States. He lives in Boston, Massachusetts.

Artists 

Stacey Boughrum graduated from Boston College with a BA in English/Art and is currently finishing a Master of Fine Art at Tufts University/SMFA. Her work has been shown at numerous galleries around Boston, including the Museum of Fine Arts.  She teaches drawing at the Boston Architectural Center and lives in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts.

Eric Cox grew up in the suburbs of Atlanta and received a degree in Fine Art from the University of Georgia. From the folk art of the south to the fast paced visual stimuli of the modern world, his influences are abundant.  He continues to explore many avenues of art from hand crafted picture frames to sculptural paintings. He now lives in Phoenix, Arizona.

Alice Delaney was born in Paris and is a graduate of the Kennedy School in Berlin. She currently studies illustration at the Maryland Institute College of Art. Her work has been selected for several juried shows, and she has been honored with the Trustee Award, the MICA Achievement Award, and an Academic Honors Scholarship. She lives in Boston, Massachusetts.

Justin Life is a graduate of the University of North Carolina, Greensboro where he received a BFA in Painting and Drawing. He has studied abroad at the Winchester School of Art in England and is currently attending The School of Museum of Fine Arts, Boston Master’s Program. He lives in Allston, Massachusetts.

Rhonda Mitchell received her B. A. from the University of Akron and is working on a Masters Degree in Visual Communication and Design at Kent State University. She is employed as a graphic designer and is married and living in Kent, Ohio.

Denys Yuen attended the University of Alberta where he earned a degree in Visual Communications Design with a specialization in illustration. He has received the John T. Baldwin Memorial Prize in Graphic Design. He currently lives in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Catharine Utzschneider, Ed. D. is a professor, writer, coach, and masters runner. Cathy’s professional and personal interests have focused on achieving athletic goals for fulfillment and life balance. She earned an M.B.A. and Ed. D. (human movement) from Boston University and since 2006 she has taught at Boston College’s Woods College of Advancing Studies. For the past 20 years, Cathy has run a coaching practice, MOVE! where she implements a goal setting method for athletics and personal and professional goals. Cathy began running as a sport at 40. She became a member of the Liberty Athletic Club and for three years served as its president, securing club sponsorship from New Balance. Between 40 and 50, she achieved a #5 in the world age group ranking; won 5 USA Track and Field age-group titles and a silver medal at the Nike World Masters Games. In 2010 she and Liberty teammates set an American age group record in the 4 X 1600 meter relay. Cathy has served as head coach of the Liberty Athletic Club since 2006. In that period its members have set four world and four American records, six age group gold medals, and more than 25 national masters age group championships. She is certified as a USA Track and Field Coach and in the Burdenko Method of Water and Sports Therapy. She is website coach for www.women-running-together and a columnist for National Masters News. She is married and has two children.

Long Before the Next War

Author

Tony Anthony was born in New York City. He served as a combat correspondent for the 198th Infantry Brigade in Vietnam in 1968 and 1969. His stories and photographs appeared in Stars & Stripes as well as in newspapers around the world.

After being promoted to sergeant he received several medals; including the Bronze Star for his reporting. Anthony has had two books published and directed a documentary film, Fearless Mountain, about a Buddhist forest monastery. He resides in Northern California.
